A few good
questions.

How do I save a place from a video?

On iPhone, share a public Instagram, TikTok or YouTube link to Tokyo Playbook. If it is not in the share sheet, tap More to find it. Tap Find places, review the matches, then Keep the ones you want. You can also paste a link in the browser app. Your original link stays with your trip. Some posts need a place name, caption or screenshot to identify where to go.

What can I do for free?

Try 3 social imports before creating an account. A free account starts with 10 successful imports across your trips. Keep unlimited saved places, view their map, and arrange your own days. You can also try the concierge, one Trip Checkup and AI day building for Days 1–2. No credit card required.

Does it work beyond Tokyo?

Yes. Collect places across Japan, including smaller cities and regional destinations. Confirmed locations keep their city attached, so a Miyazaki restaurant does not get mixed into your Tokyo day. Available photos, hours and local notes vary by place.

Will every video work?

Not always. A link alone may not tell us where a video was filmed. Add a screenshot, caption or place name to help identify it. Uncertain matches need checking. Your original link stays attached so you can revisit the source.

Can I plan without social posts?

Absolutely. Start with a free Tokyo Playbook route, preview its stops and add it to your trip. Then adjust the day or mix in your own finds. You can also search for places and ask for ideas based on your interests.

What happens when Trip Pass ends?

Your saved places, imported links and day plans remain. Your account returns to free limits when paid access ends. Existing recurring subscriptions can be managed in the store where you purchased them.
